koskar13 A perfect album. This is the ideal mix of rio/avant prog with psychedelia.Personally i believe that french rio/avant prog scene is top notch with many new excellent bands. Favorite track: 03 - Bygone Ages.

Shapeshifting Great album. Definitely something to dig if you're a fan of the likes as Time of Orchids, Kayo Dot, Psalm Zero etc. Favorite track: 08 - Taedium Vitae.

ViridianLoom This was the first album I purchased on bandcamp and I still come back to listen to this album over and over again. Nooumena is an incredibly underrated band and this release is akin to something legendary that King Crimson would have put out. Every track is masterfully written, twisting and turning with new concepts from track to track, even within the timespan of the same song. I think the only flaw of this album is that it's ahead of its time. Favorite track: 02 - Decadence.

about

-------

"Somewhere on the cusp between sleeping and waking, reality and dreaming, sits the music of Nooumena. Beautifully slurred, haunting and haunted (...) Nooumena make beautiful music with a decidedly creepy edge to it – in some ways like the audio equivalent of a David Lynch movie"
- The Sleeping Shaman

"Nooumena arise from the hazy blue French horizon to deliver a piece of music that defies comprehension (...) Every instrument, mood, moment and refrain is linked together by nothing less than wizardry on the part of the band. ‘Argument with Eagerness’ is perfect in every respect. This is simply the most enjoyable and affecting piece of music I have heard in 2011."
- Lurker's Path

"A tight, multilayer, complex record where one can completely immerse oneself in. (...) Get it, dive in!"
- A beginner's guide to Prog Rock

"Sometimes, the album wanders blindly into a dark corner. Only sometimes though. For the most part Argument With Eagerness is brimming with ideas. It’s a soothing listen that you can, if willing, completely immerse yourself in."
- Drop-D

-------

- Satan owes us money

- Progressive Area
